Fist you think about in absolutes the graph looks like a big V, then it reflects over the x-axis, then horizontal translation 3 and vertical translation 2

absolute value is always above the x-axis. it is shaped like a v, going at a 45 degree angle. since it is -|x|, it will be flipped over the x-axis. as, |x+3|, that makes it go 3 to the left, and |x|+2 makes it go 2 up. Therefore, it's flipped over x, left 3, and up 2. Your vertex is at (3,2). that graph is wrong.
