Simplify Cube Square root of ((64x^(14)y^(7)) / Cube square root of (27x^(5)y) I already have 44 attempts under this question.. My own teacher gave me the wrong answer..it was something like 4/3 x^[some power]y Look at the input in this link: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28%2864x^%2814%29y^%287%29%29^%281%2F3%29+%2F+%2827x^%285%29y%29^%281%2F3%29 I hope that helps you see the question easier.
When I enter the answer wolframalpha gives me, it would say,"You can only raise a variable to a power in a polynomial." I'm entering: 4(x^14y^7)^(1/3) / 3(x^5y)^(1/3) I have tried entering it different ways..
\[\sqrt[3]{64}\] =4
\[\sqrt[3]{27}\] = 3
\[x ^{14}/x ^{5} = x ^{9}\]
\[\sqrt[3]{x ^{9}} = x ^{3}\]
\[y^{7}divy=y ^{6}\]
\[\sqrt[3]{y ^{6}}=y ^{2}\]
I just got it. I kept looking at your answers and tried to come up with it. 4/3 x^(3)y^(2) is the answer Thanks! My teacher gave me a different answer
tell ur teacher to log on here! hahaha
ahaha! Not trying to be racist, but he is indian...and he barely makes any sense..I just write his notes down, we barely use a book..and so I have to deal with it :<
I dont think he should even be hired...like he sometimes ask us to check his work cause he would not know..lot of times, we end up finding mistakes in his work lol
maybe you can show ur solution... then let him check if u r correct and he is not.
what school r u?
I go to University of Michigan Dearborn
ur in college?
Yup.
well obviously not right now, but I mean I am a college student.
ok... what program? or degree r u pursuing?
Computer and Electric engineering
wow! u should be good in math!
I am good in math, honestly, I used to tutor my math class mates in high school :/ I had like 110 in alg 2, like 108 in pre calc [ highest math lvl i took in HS]. The reason I had such high scores was because we end up having 1-10 ppl getting a question correct on a test out of 80+ so she would end up curving them
curving up? what dya mean?
So for example, let's say there is a question that was really hard or we didn't really learn it and it's on the test. Let's say the question is worth 5 points, and only 10 people total get it out of the multiple pre-calc classes the teacher teaches. Since a very little amount of people get it, the teacher would add ignore that question and give 5 extra points to those who got it. So if I aced the test and got the hard/ignored questions right, I would get like 105/100.
the teacher would ignore that question* I don't know why I put the word 'add' there O.o
all ur teachers are doing this technique? if that's the case then no one would receive an F
Yes most of the teachers do that technique.
It is actually quite shocking..how many people end up getting C's and below...
