How do I solve this problem? http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/5541/mathproblem.jpg How did you do it??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

q(0) = 0, p(0) = 1 so r(0) = 1 q(1) = 3, p(3) =2 so r(1) = 2 q(2) =2, p(2) = 3 so r(2) = 3 q(3) =5, p(5) = 4, so r(3) = 4 q(4)=1, p(1) = 0, so r(4) = 0 q(5)= 4, p(4) = 5, so r(5) = 5

I'm confused on how you got that answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in x =0, fond q(x) Go to the table for p( q(x) ) find the value there x =0, q(0) is 0 Find p(0) P(0) = 1 r(0) = 1

honestly, i'm still confused lol. So like for the second one, if I plug in x = 1, I get 3 for q, but then I don't see how you got the 2.

Nevermined :D I just got it. I was not expecting it to go to the next point at the last step
