We know that the minimum x can be is -2, because any lower and the numerator will be greater than 0. \[-2 \le x\] Also, we know that at 4, the rational equation is undefined. \[x \neq 4\] Any higher than 4, the equation turns out to be greater than 0, which doesn't work. \[4 > x\] So we have: \[-2 \le x <4\]
