absorptivity and reflectivity of radiation on black and white surfaces
I hear it's amazing when the purple stuffed worm from flab-jaw space, with the tuning fork, does a raw blink off of hara-kara rock! I need scissors!! 61!!! Your question needs more info...
what kind of radiation do you mean? visible light? in case of visible light: normal light as it comes from the sun appears white although it is not white but consists of red, green and blue light that overlap to appear white. when you have a surface that appears white to you, then you see the full spectrum of the sun light at a high intensity. (in contrast to coloured surfaces that reflect for example the green part of the light but absorb red and blue for a green surface for example) meaning that most of the light is reflected so that you are able to see it. now if you see a darker surface then it means that not the full intensity is reflected, but a part is also absorbed. and in case for a black surface most of the light would be absorbed. was this what your question referred too?
