How did the Bosnian crises lead to World War I?
in those days there was the empire of austria-hungary. the austrian prince was for visit in sarajevo when he was killed by a terrorist group. the authorities there said, we handle the case, but the austrian emperor tried to put force on them and sended his own inspectors to get the terrorists. this lead to a diplomatic crises and in the following austria declared war to them. and this lead to the beginning of the first world war, since russia had interest in the slavian countries and so supported them. germany was allied with austria and said: we will help you! and then also the french and the britains entered the war because they were afraid of germany-austria getting to powerful if they would defeat russia
Wow, thanks for that explanation! It's really helped! :-)
The post by Marsianer is essentially correct, but one must read several books on this time period to get the full idea. At that time the major nations of Europe had all entered into treaties of protection with one another and there were basically two groups. So when one nations was attacked or war declared, then an allied nation would enter the fray in support of its ally.
