If you are looking at a graph of a quadratic equation, how do you determine where the solutions are?

OpenStudy (a_clan):

where it intersects the x-axis

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

The solutions will be where the function crosses the x axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The solutions are based on the x internet points basically when you have something like so x^2 + 4x + 4 = 0; You firrst factor it (x+2) ( x+2) and you solve for it like this x+2 = 0, x = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all a solution is is WHERE the graph MEETS the X axis on the graphs.

OpenStudy (chaise):

If the graph does not meet the x axis, it has an imaginary solution.
