how would you work out the equation of a parabola's with the points (-2;0) , (5;0) and (3;5) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=ax^2+bx+c is general form, these points lie on the parabola so these will satisfy this equation. put these values and solve for a,b,c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example (-2,0) x=-2 , y=0 put in the equation 0=a(-2)^2+(-2)b+c 4a+c=2b similary do the rest and solve for a,b,c

Alright, I get it . Thanks man.
