how do i find the slopes of the line -3,4 and 6,1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right 9 units (from -3 to 6) down 3 units (from 4 to 1) gives the slope of \[-\frac{3}{9}=-\frac{1}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1-4 ---- 6-(-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a formula for slope\[m=\frac{y _{2}-y _{1}}{x _{2}-x _{1}}\]it doesn't matter which point you designate as point two, just stay consistent when you enter the formula\[m=\frac{4-1}{-3-6}=\frac{3}{-9}=-\frac{1}{3}\]this is the slope
