What are easy Formulas for Projectile Motion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x = vt\]\[y= g t^2 /2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey Aker221! I see you are typing a reply. Ahaha :DD Anyways, Thank you! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does x and y represents ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It depends on the exercise you are doing!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the x direction is across, the y direction is up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh.. I see. Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is an axis along which there is the initial speed of projectile, y is the axis along which there is gravity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You see, There's so much I have to learn.. maybe I should go back to Science 1. Huh..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the t direction is forward in time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you both in College?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

university of wollongong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes University of Bari (ITALY)

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

(australia)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yeah yeah.. :DD Great to know you reached College knowing all this stuffs. Because this is my last year in High School and next to College but there are stuffs I still ought to know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

study hard kleyr and improve your knowledge!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha! If you only know how much I really want to learn. I did some researches already on how to study better, how to understand the lectures better.. but... I'm really slow in learning stuffs. Aah, can you give some advice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

study and learn what you like, if you don't like the things you study you won't be fast. Don't study to please someone, do it just for you

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

y=gt^2/2 does not apply to a projectile it only applies when the object has been dropped, y=gt^2/2 +v0t +y0 is the formula for a Projected object where v0 is the initial velocity in the y direction y0 = initial height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha. You are totally right! But I cannot help but please everyone.. Hayst... Thank you so much!!! I will take note of that! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I gotta go now. Thank you so much for the answers!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By the way.. I will give you a website. It's StudyBlue. Kinda for your own.. but doesn't have privacy. :))) Might help you! :D
