help on factoring please? x^3+2x-3

you can see by your eyeballs that if you replace x by 1 you get 0 that means you can factor as \[x^3+2x-3=(x-1)(\text{ something })\] so your only job it to figure out what the other factor is

lol i knew about the (x-1) but the other something was what I was hoping to find out. because i had x^2+3 but that didnt work
