PLEASE HELP! Simplify: 6y^9-3y^6+4y^3+8y ---------------------- 3y^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2y^6-y^3+(4/3)+(8/(3y^2))\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it didnt work on my online homework :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you multiply through by 3 you can eliminate the fraction coefficients...maybe 6y^6-3y^3+(8/y^2)-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b/c u can break each one of those pieces into parts, ie 6y^9/3y^3 + etc..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow, blonde moment the first exponent should be 10 not 9. but even then i get 2y^7-y^3+4/3+8/3y^2 and its still wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u try multiplying through by 3 again?
