express the product (2x-1) (3x+4) as a trinomial

Remember FOIL? To solve this out, multiple the First terms, then the Outer terms, then the Inner terms, then the Last terms. So: First Terms: \[2x \times3x=6x ^{2}\] Outer Terms: \[2x \times4=8x\] Inner Terms: \[-1\times3x=-3x\] Last Terms: \[-1\times4=-4\] Now just combine them all: \[6x ^{2}+8x-3x-4\] Combine the like terms! \[6x ^{2}+5x-4\] A trinomial is a polynomial with three terms, and that above expression has three terms, so it must be your answer. Hope I was helpful!
