You'll get much more out of these if you attempt them by yourself if you haven't already. But first, add 2 to both sides to isolate the absolute value: |-3n|=6 Then split into two, first ignoring the absolute value: -3n=6 n=-2 Now negating the 6: -3n=-6 n=2 So n=-2,2
