please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that a negative exponent on the second one? i can't see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\frac{9}{16})^{\frac{1}{2}}=\sqrt{\frac{9}{16}}\] \[=\frac{\sqrt{9}}{\sqrt{16}}=\frac{3}{4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\frac{4}{9})^{-\frac{1}{2}}=(\frac{9}{4})^{\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{3}{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you will get \[\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{3}{2}=\frac{9}{8}\]

OpenStudy (fools101):

thank u!!!
