$x^2 = 20$ $x = \pm \sqrt{20}$ $x = \pm \sqrt{4}\sqrt{5}$ $x = \pm 2\sqrt{5}$ $x_1 = 2\sqrt{5} \approx 4.5$ $x_2 = -2\sqrt{5} \approx -4.5$ so the right answer is D
