Is (3,13) a solution of the equation y=4x? if false then why?

does 13 = 4*3? no 13 does not equal 12 because ... it doesnt...

(3,13) is a point on the graph where the value of x is 3 and value of y is13. This point cannot be a solution to y = 4x because when you plug in the value of x and y given, it does not satisfy the equation. You should be able to solve all such problems in the same way.
