domain and range? domain and range? @Mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to map it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain is all possible x values range is all possible y values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is all the values that x can take. So, given \[y = x^2 \] as an example, x can take any values from minus infinity to plus infinity. We call this "all real x". Now the range is the set of values that y can take. But \[x^2\] is always positive, so the range of y is all y>0.
