OpenStudy (pottersheep):

What is the domain and range of 5/(1-x) + 2 ? Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is any value of x for which the function is well defined. Since it contains a quotient with x in the denominator, you need to watch out for values of x which would lead to dividing by zero and exclude them from the domain. The range is anything the function can output, so any possible output when the function is evaluated with a value of x from within the domain. Think about when (1-x) = 0, and exclude this from the domain. Then think about the potential values the function will return with the domain in mind, and work out the range.

i dont know how to get the range for it though :s I get that x cant equal 1
