OpenStudy (waheguru):

when we draw a circuit does the switch have to be after the negative side or positive side ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Positive side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In most of the schematics it's after the positive, but I don't believe there is an actual rule.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In most cases you would want to cut off Vsource instead of ground, you wouldn't want to leave the device hot. Any ground would result in a complete circuit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

grounding is usually done on the negative side. hence we use the switch on the positive side since there is no need for any circuit to be disconnected from the ground in general.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its doesn't matter, switch is only for on-off .its better to draw switch in +ve side if u follow standers......
