i solved a function f(x)=2x+3 and got my inverse function as (x-3)/2 what will be my domain and range? i solved a function f(x)=2x+3 and got my inverse function as (x-3)/2 what will be my domain and range? @Mathematics

Your function was from R -> R. So the inverse function is still from R-> R The inverse function swaps domain with co domain

explain better pls

OpenStudy (alfie):

All right. First above all, your starting function was: y = 2x+3 Which is a line, we know about the domain to be R and the co-domain to be R So R->R Now, the inverse function is: x = (y-3)/2 Now, your initial function CO-domain will become the domain of the inverse function, so it'll still be from R-> R
