why we call voltage source as voltage source???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is not a question...

OpenStudy (lalaly):

lol because it is a voltage source

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it is a source of voltage which is applied to a network....which can be constant or variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then can anyone let me know wat is the practical difference b/w a voltage source and current source.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A current source does not exist practically. @ salilkamra.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then why is it used in the circuits

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To simplify calculations and understand concepts easily

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause its provide voltage............

OpenStudy (venomghost):

Actually there are industrial sensors (like pressure ones in HVAC System) that are fed with current sources, mainly because voltage is less inmune to noise and electrical variations in general, so you get a current loop that can be measured back by a shunt resistor (So thanks to ohm's law I goes back to V) and then go to the digital word thanks to an ADC
