I need to solve 5<3h+2<=11

OpenStudy (kellie):

Subtract 2 from both sides and divide by 3

OpenStudy (kellie):

1<h<3

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can treat these as two separate inequalities and solve for h. 5 < 3h + 2 => 5 - 2 < 3h => 3 < 3h => 1 < h Similarly, the second equation: 3h + 2 <= 11 => 3h <= 11 - 2 => 3h <= 9 => h <= 3 So, you get 1 < h <= 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, second inequality. Not equation. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you as well
