How?
ya...ask...
Show in two ways that the points (-6,5) , (1,-2)and (3,4) lie on a straight line.. what should I do?
if you have graphing calculator, it could be really, really easy.
first method is by applying conjoincy...2nd is by graphical method...
im done with the graphical method, how about the CONJOINCY?
i wish i knew how to help you with conjoincy, but i cant. sorry
thats ok
You could use two of the points to find the equation of the line, and then show the third point satisfies the equation. To find the equation, first find the slope: m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) (difference in y values divided by difference in x values) then solve for b (the y intercept) y= mx + b, substitute in a point (x1,y1) to get b= y1-mx1 your equation is then y=mx+b (using the m and b you just found) the third point should work: y3= m x3 + b
