Question...
Answer

the formula of g(x) for this graph would be: g(x)f(x-1)+3, right?
i meant g(x)=f(x-1)+3
because u shift right 1 and then shift up 3
agreene! come back!
If the function on the left is f(x) and the one on the right is g(x) then... probably. I'm rather bad with graphical analysis.
me too!
asnaseer, can u help? i can type out all of the choices given
I am trying to understand your drawing - and am struggling :-)
sorry about that. i just put the significant numbers on it.
but, generally, if you have a function f(x) which is then translated by 'a' unit along the x-axis, then the new function can be written as g(x) = f(x-a). similarly, if it translated 'b' unit along the y-axis, then the new function can be written as g(x) = f(x) + b.
so the answer should be either f(x-3)+1 or f(x-1)+3
right 1 implies f(x-1) up 3 implies f(x)+3 so altogether you get: f(x-1)+3
so i was right
so the answer you got originally was correct
ok thanks
