What is the optimum PH and temperature of bacteria to multiply exponentially?
this is dependent on the species of bacteria you are using...so what kinda bacterium do you want to talk about?
bacteria are diverse and as such are their preferred environments: some are highly acidophlic - most are not. some are thermophilic and proliferate around underwater steams in the ocean. i assume by your question that u refer to bacteria relevant to humans, as such they prefer 37 degrees celsius. when u have fever, the body changes its temp to fight bacteria as they are indeed quite specific in their optimal conditions for perfect growth
as to the pH...the standard media (like LB) is prepared to have 7.0 pH. this suits e. coli
bacteria grow optimally within a narrow range of pH between 6.7 and 7.5. but temperature is changed for different kind of bacteria.
Thanks all am sorry for the confusion what if I specify it to Rhizobium bacteria?
