OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

whats LCM?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

L east C ommon M ultiple

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

oh ok whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25. Find The Lcm of each set of #s 16,42

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Ok so 4 times 4 is the lowest for the # 16 right we cant get any lower than that........ As for 42 that would be 7 times 6 i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What am i supposed to write on the line?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

least common multiple is the lowest numbers you can use to get the product right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes but it has to be COMMON

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Hmmm sorry not really that good in math but common means thier the same right so the 4 by 4 thing is right is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the thing is 4 cannot go in to 42

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

ooooohhhh ok sorry i was thinking about those numbers seperatly i was kinda confused there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Help ME!!!

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

hold on im getting a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

It has to be 2 then since 4 cant above cannot go into those numbers 2 would have to be your answer

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

4 and above cant go into 16 and 42 so 2 is your LCM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next Question 27. 36,54,72

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

is it the same question as the last?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No same directions though

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

ah ok hold on a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are awesome!

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Ok so 18 and 9 work 6 also works But those are not the lowest numbers that can fit into your numbers its actually 3 so 3 is your LCM You undertsand now?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Its a little easy with a calculator by your side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah Your so awesome! Thanks so much! I could hug you!

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Your welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bye!
