OpenStudy (anonymous):

if a laser beam is passes through a strong electro-magnetic field then what will be happens... means any changes..

OpenStudy (fretje):

Only mass can bend lasers beams (which are electromagnetic waves)

OpenStudy (fretje):

because mass tells space how to curve. An example can be seen in gravitational lenses ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_lens ). Light from a distant star of star group, can be focussed or blurred by a nearer group of stars between the observer and the distant star.

OpenStudy (fretje):

This laser can interfere though with the strong magnetic field (ex:holograms) And light can be bent if travelling in media like glas or any other optically active matter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As laser is nothing but emission of photons, they generally bend when we apply an electro-magnetic field

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Electric and magnetic fields only apply forces to charged particles. Light is not composed of charged particles (it is actually wave disturbances of the electromagnetic field itself).\[\vec F = q\left(\vec E + \vec v \times \vec B\right)\]
