Discuss realism and humor in mark twains, "the celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras county" Any suggestions?

Well, the humor comes in abundance, in a sort of dry way. The plot itself is comical - it's a novel about a frog bet and a stranger duping the narrator in a pretty silly way. It's the Mark Twain brand of deadpan humor, exaggeration, and irony. One thing that fits into realism and humor was how Twain challenged the stereotype of the East as civilized and the West as unorderly and uneducated. Slimy people are littered throughout Twain's U.S - he is saying we should discard these romantic notions of the east being a progressive haven and the west being this unruly wasteland, because really, humans are all the same. I hope this helps!
