Trig functions, can someone help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1/\sec \alpha -\tan \alpha=\sec \alpha +\tan \alpha\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you want to solve for alpha?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both of the sides need to look the same

Here is a pdf containing the majority of trig functions. Can you clarify your question for me is it (1/sec(x)) - tan(x) = sec(x) + tan(x) or 1/(sec(x)- tan(x)) = sec(x) + tan(x next time please use more brackets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/(sec(x)- tan(x)) = sec(x) + tan(x)
