What percent of 496 is 124 write the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this was answered the last time you asked this…

OpenStudy (lilg132):

25%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

numbers, this is just like the others you've asked. can you use those other questions as an example, and just plug in the new numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

37%

OpenStudy (lilg132):

124/496 = 0.25 * 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you forgot to add the factor of sin(pi), the answer ends up being 37%

OpenStudy (lilg132):

your answer is wrong ktklown

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 25%

OpenStudy (lilg132):

the number which you want to find out percentage for = N the total number = T the total percentage = P P = N/T(100)

OpenStudy (lilg132):

P = 124/496(100)

OpenStudy (lilg132):

dont forget to click good answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not that good an answer since she didn't learn anything

OpenStudy (lilg132):

lol is it up to me to force people to learn or give the method and let them decide if they want to learn?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

firstly i think you should learn how to work out the answer :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she has asked at least 50 of the exact same type of question -- "x is what percent of y? y is what percent of x?", i think a strategy other than just giving her the answer is needed her. you are doing nothing good by just giving the answer

OpenStudy (lilg132):

should i teach you next time seeing as your so willing to learn?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

and your getting the WRONG answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know how to do them, do you understand why I gave the wrong answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we are helping and it's up to her to decide if she wants to learn it. if she fails a quiz or test, it's her own fault.

OpenStudy (lilg132):

not really giving people the wrong answer will not help them learn even if they wanted to, suppose she did try and work it out and she wanted to check with your answer she will feel like shes getting nowhere hence why she will just look for the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't see how just giving her the answer 50 times, and not even engaging her in conversation, helps

OpenStudy (lilg132):

i agree with tapdancer8 you cant force anyone to learn at the end of the day its their loss

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she doesn't even reply, clearly she is not learning anything from this interaction. you can't force anyone to learn, but why are you giving the answer then if she's not learning? what does it accomplish?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

well if you check above this is the first question i've replied to of hers and i gave the method of how i worked it out with an equation to help her understand

OpenStudy (lilg132):

like i said if she did finally decide to work it out her self and wanted to CHECK if shes getting the write answer she can thats what we are here for to help others

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, but i'm telling you, since you didn't see them, that there are like 5 just like this she asked today alone, and dozen per day every day I've been here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you're fooling yourself if you think that will happen. giving her the answer does nothing but help her cheat, she is not learning from it.

OpenStudy (lilg132):

well its the same with summermcrackens questions and i've given up with answering hers shes just here for answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you're a smart person, i see you here all the time and you always give the right answer. i am just trying to encourage you not to answer the questions people who are not trying to learn. spend your time tutoring people who actually want real help.

OpenStudy (lilg132):

ok ktklown at the end of the day like i said if someone wants to learn they will if they dont they wont and it will be their loss when it comes down to an exam where they have to answer it their self im not here to decide what they do is right or wrong and what decisions they make lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if people want to learn the best way is to talk to you interactively, not copy down an answer that they could theoretically use later. so i'm asking you as a test, to try only doing actual tutoring, engaging people in conversation who want to, and just ignoring the people who want an answer and don't make any attempt to learn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can one of you help me with my question from 15 min ago?

OpenStudy (lilg132):

sure
