How do you find the slope of a line? (I learned this in class a few days ago, but I can't remember it.)

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

|dw:1323028679165:dw| the slope is defined as the run/rise. it can also be stated as: slope = (change in y value between two points)/(change in x value between two points) so, if you are given two points with coordinates \((x_1,y_1)\) and \((x_2,y_2\) the slope is defined as:\[slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\]
