How does the Benedict's Test for Reducing Sugars work? One or two simple sentences is good. :)

Benedict solution(copper sulphate) it contain the cation of \[Cu^{+2}\] which is blue in color. When heated with reducing sugar like glucose, it react with the sugar(glucose) and form Cu^+2 change to Cu^+. Cu^+ is red in color, so the solution will turn into brick red precipitation when heated with the presence of reducing sugar
