what would be the horizontal asymtote of (x-1)(x-2)(x-3) / (4x+1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i kind of already know what he's saying....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wanna know why this HA isnt 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o cause the degree is larger?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the y-intercept of this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer was: NONE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vertical asymptote is -1/4 but horizontal is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y intercept is not 0,-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in x to be 0 and you get your y-int

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok my hw site counted my answer wrong because i put 0,-6... it accepted it when i put just -6 though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wasnt arguing -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would the graph of 3/(x+1)^2(x-3) look like? my calc is giving me the wrong answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Type it like this in your calc.. (3)/((x+1)^2(x-3)) and it should look like this http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%283%29%2F%28%28x%2B1%29^2%28x-3%29%29&t=mfftb01

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mine still doesnt look like the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe your zoomed in or out too far..Or your window isnt set properly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it to work on mine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have the max's and min's set to 10 and -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Set them to -6.5 and 6.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it still doesnt quite look like the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o i forgot to put in some of the parenthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i feel slow...
