I have a calc1 exam tomorrow and im worried about it. Does anyone have alot of experience with calc and have any tips?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have examples of previous tests to work from? math teachers tend to ask similar questions, so review old tests or quizzes or homework. don't try to learn anything new and don't study tomorrow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make a cheat sheet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and put it on your iphone!

Thanks for the reply, i have been reviewing the test and old quizzes and understand most of the things, but I am worried about getting much different problems such as weird optimization problems and idk some of the formulas i would use for that

OpenStudy (mathmate):

1. Read all the instructions, and make sure you have all the pages of the exam. 2. Plan how much time you have for the exam. 3. Read all the questions before answering. I like to answer the easy one first. Others may do it differently. 4. Bring a watch because cell-phones are generally not allowed. 5. Don't forget to put your name on the answer sheets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that final?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get derivatives and intergals and everything but i have a hard time understanding optimization and area and distance and things like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should not worry. If you worked hard, you are well prepared. If you did not, it is kind of counterproductive to worry because that only makes things worse.

I'd recommend you pay attention to the integration/differentiation of simple trigonometric functions. :) They always throw a "integrate tan(x)" near the end.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't worry about it, you probably won't even get any problem from that section

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you everybody

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just like you i'm taking calc1 and i realized that as long as you understand the steps you can plug it into any situation so just make sure to practice steps for what your teacher has taught you so far.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you'll do fine :)
