Jason, Joz1 is wrong, I had trouble with it, too. I did find a way to get the primes, well explained. But then ran out of time : ( http://pythonism.wordpress.com/2008/05/04/looking-at-prime-numbers-in-python/ Did you figure out how to get to the 1,000th prime?

that's the thing with MIT: they teach you something elementary like the so-called 'primitives' and the basic control flow structures, and then immediately ask you to prove Newton's second law of thermodynamics or something :-P
