can someone enlighten me about the law of less action ( i know the principles but i am not sure is it most of the classical mechanics topics use this theory? ) and which are the topics?
The Principle of Least Action is the foundation of the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations of mechanics, which in turn make it feasible to study very complicated problems that would be nearly impossible to analyze using the Newtonian formulation.
jemurray you have any idea on a better way of studying the lagrangian and hamiltonian formulation because some they uses maths that are beyond my reach like greens theorem where i just studied ....
The real depth of the Hamiltonian and Lagrangian formulations is beautiful but mathematically subtle. There are certainly some excellent resources, such as Taylor's Classical Mechanics, that explain the basic ideas in such a way that you would be required to have little more than a strong grasp of elementary calculus. However, I am afraid that if you want to truly understand these approaches to physics, you will need to learn and understand more mathematics. If you are just now learning about Green's theorem I assume you are beginning your study into multivariable calculus, a good grasp of which is essential for these things.
oh ya by the way can you suggest me some good reference book or lecture videos to see on multivariable calculus so i can understand it faster than learning it myself ... because well i am still high school i am just very fond in physics and try to understand as much as i can but however sometimes i do face some difficulties without any i mean good guide and some book are quite misleading ( i mean the infos are unclear) thanks for all your advise really appreciate
oh ya Jemurray3 what do you think about M theory seems interesting when i saw the video that hawking said that it will be the end for gods ... well no offence just my point of view i dont know is there really god exist or not but the belief is good in point of view. well you see when people are have so much hatred on someone they will try to murder them. but at that moment probably law came across their mind but they are not bothered by it and religion may help to prohibit and cool them down. besides you see many cases in discovery channel where some people survive from cancer after going to prayer everyday ya it may not be the power of gods but the mind set and physicology do help cure them... so in my opinion religion is good to be preserve...
MIT's open courseware provides an excellent research for both single and multivariable calculus: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-02sc-multivariable-calculus-fall-2010/ As far as M theory goes, it would be disingenuous of me to claim that I understand string theory well enough to talk about it. However, there is no empirical scientific discovery that will ever eliminate religion from the lives of those who wish to keep it. It does not happen to be a part of mine, and I have my own opinions about it, but that's me.
