yes it college level physics and chemistry give you alot of help in engineering physics is compulsory and chemistry is that much that much

I'm a software engineer. At every job I've had I've brought my old college physics textbooks to keep at work. Either I've had to use them for work, or just to settle a debate. Chemistry, not so much. But both classes will help teach you to think like an engineer.

Even "Social Engineering" requires some understanding of physics. So yes, Engineering studies require a very good knowledge of chemistry and physics...... and maths, and fluid dynamics and, and etc
