I solved this but not sure if I got it correct. My answer was: infinite solutions. Can somebody correct this for me? Thank you Solve the system 3x – 2y = 7 and 9x – 6y = 3 by using graph paper or graphing technology. What is the solution to the system? Possible answers: (3, –2) Infinite Solutions (3, 2) No Solutions
Checking your answer would ensure that you know which is correct. If there's a possibility for infinite solutions, you should test out the points. But infinite solutions would mean that both graphs are equivalent. I don't see that here.
Thank you Hero.. I will try again but having problems
9x-6y=3(3x-2y) 3(7)\[3(7)\neq3\]
Thank you abdul.. can you please explain that? I dont understand
He's showing you that they're not equivalent
But this is done algebraically
meaning that I dont have a solution for the problem?
Yes
got it.. thank you both
the graph of these equations have the same slope and therefore they are parallel
