True or False? Points have width and height but no length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False.

I'm not sure what area of study you are in, but in some areas of science a point is considered to have no width, height, or length.

Thank you, Fool For Math and amandechen. I am in Geometry.

Ah okay, in that case a point is like you drawing a dot somewhere on a grid in a coordinate system. SInce it's not a "shape" at all, and just a dot, you can consider it to have no height width and/or length. An example of something that would have a height and width would be if you drew a box and then colored it in.

@7 amandachen.92: In which area of science does a point have any dimension?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

None that I know of, but I haven't studied anything quantum related yet which I understand is quite a different world so I wanted to cover all the grounds :)
