I know what cytoplasm IS, but what does it do? Also what is the easiest way to explain macromolecules?
Cytoplasm does everything in the cell which happens outside the nucleus. For example, it contains organelles, proteins and other molecules which do everything involved with life. Macromolecules are basically molecular assemblies made out of many smaller components. An example would be multi-protein complexes made out of smaller protein.
Agreed with blues about the cytoplasm. And since you were asking for the EASIEST way to explain macromolecules, they are polymers built from monomers. Some biologically important examples are carbohydrates(and its monomers are sugar), proteins (its monomers are amino acids), and nucleic acids(nucleotides).
Thank you very very much, both of your explainations helped a lot :).
