MATH HELP PLEASE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

length of the arc = r * angle in radians so convert 45 degrees to radians then multiply by 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im so lost... :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 degree = pi/180 radians 45 degrees = 45pi/180 radians = pi/4 radians

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 45 x 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is this divison

OpenStudy (anonymous):

length of arc = radius * pi/4 = 30pi/4 = 7.5 pi / 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you familiar with radians nnick?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you ? i meant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No i am afraid not. im attempting to learn this trig crap on a computer >______<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its another way to measure angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know how to find the circumference of a circle right? (2[pi]r) well, the total angle of a circle is 360 degrees. So you can cross multiply. Since, after all, they did give you r.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would this be 50 degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thats another way to do it - more simple in fact

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess C is circumference of the circle right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so mabc = 45 which is 45/200 of the circumference there are 360 degrees in full circle so measure of the angle is (45 * 360 ) / 200 = 81 degrees
