Hi there. Try multiplying both sides by 5; what do you get?
hi =) 10=a?
that's great -- now just simplify!
2*5 = a/5 * 5

so whenever thers a prob like this, i have multiply the denominator, or whichever number in the fraction by the other side?
yes
if it is next to the variable
*with the variable
Basically, yes, your goal is to "isolate" the variable. Meaning, if it says "a - 5 = 4", you add 5 to both sides. Your goal is to get just the variable on one side, and everything else on the other.

And to do the isolation, you must do the same thing to both sides of the equation at each step. As long as you do the same thing to both sides, the equation will keep being true.
thanks so much =)
