Which pair of terms contain opposite coefficients? Answers: 3 and –3 // –3x and 3x // 3x and 3x // –3 and –3

OpenStudy (mathmate):

A coefficient is the numeric or constant part of the term, so -3 or 3 are the coefficient. A term is defined as the product of a coefficient and a variable raised to a power. Since the power could include zero, so a constant (like 3 and -3) is still a term. Accordingly, there are two answers that are valid, A and B. If there is only one correct answer, then probably the narrow definition of a "term" has been used, namely B.
