How do I generate a velocity-time graph of a motion from an acceleration-time graph? Please answer..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well velocity vs time shows you the speed in a given direction in respect to the time. So you would indicate the velocity and if the acceleration increases then you know that the velocity increases so you draw the line higher or lower depending on acceleration/decelleration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh, i see. But what if the acceleration is constant 4.0 m/s^2 [E] for 0.8 s, how can I draw a v-t graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you know that for every second it is increasing its velocity at a rate of 4.0m/s^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just increase the velocity by 4 for every second so at 8 seconds your velocity is 32m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh, okay. thanks!

Glad I could help!
