still need help didn't understand answers received if someone could break the problem down for me so I can better understand that would be great. simplify express your answer with positive exponents (-a^2b/2b^-1)^3 the answer I have is -a^2b^4/8 I used an online calculator but the way the input showed didn't seem correct please help! Thanks

First let's get rid of the negative exponent by moving b^-1 to the numerator; thus, [(-a^2b^2)/2] ^3 Now raise all three to the third power -a^6 b^6/8

u have understood it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a little bit

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

there i think was a little hard because b is on exponent -1 what is equal 1/b

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

than will be -a2b/2/b = -a2b*b/2 =-a2b2/2

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

and this all cubed
