simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3\sqrt[3]{16}\]

OpenStudy (across):

View it this way:\[3\sqrt[3]{16}=3\sqrt[3]{2}\sqrt[3]{8}.\]Can you simplify that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (across):

Sure you can! Would you agree that \(2\cdot2\cdot2=8\)?\[\]

OpenStudy (mr.math):

16=2^4=2^3.2. So, from that: \[3\sqrt[3]{2^3.2}=3(2)\sqrt[3]{2}=6\sqrt[3]{2}\]

OpenStudy (mr.math):

I'm having some problems with latex.

OpenStudy (mr.math):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
