meiosis produces 4 haploid cells with mixed genetic content, mitosis creates 2 daughter cells same as parent

Meiosis is a chromosomal reduction process of the parent cell resulting in four haploid daughter cells. This is usually performed to produce gamete cells or cells that will eventually lead to the production of a zygote. Whereas Mitosis is the splitting of the parent diploid cell into two diploid cells. This leads to more somatic cells.

In mitosis, an exact copy of the cell is made. In meiosis, the cells created are completely unique only with some genetic traits passed on from the parent cell.

I just want to make it clear that depending on the organisms life cycle the direct descendents of meiosis are not always gametes but undergo mitotic divisions in some organisms which eventually lead to the production of haploid gametes. If you look at a protest with a haploid dominant life cycle for example where its only diploid state is when the zygote is formed.

after mitosis each of daughter cell will have same exact DNA strands but in meiosis each doughter cell will have just half DNA strands
