Solve for p in the equation A=p +prt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first factor the right side: A = p(1 + rt) can yu finish it off?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no still need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to get p on its own on right hand side of the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it was A = 3p you would divide both sides by 3 to get A/3 = p but its not 3 but (1+rt) so you divide by (1+rt)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok so its\[p= a/rt+1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right but its best to put the denominator in brackets p = a /(rt+1) to avoid confusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good job!
