Given the triangle below, which of the following is a correct statement?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

What are the choices?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

It is NOT a right triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one moment please:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

csc\[\Delta B= 3 \over 2\] \[\csc \triangle c = 3 \over 2\] sec\[\triangle B= 6 \over 5\] \[\sec \triangle C= 5 \over 6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are the choices

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I don't understand this question because the definitions of the trig functions are for right triangles and that is NOT a right triangle. Where did you get this triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was very confused too? it was on one of my questions

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If it were a right triangle as it says, then the sin C=4/6=2/3 so the csc C = 3/2

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So if I have to make a choice, I would choose the second one and make a note in the margin that the triangle cannot be a right triangle since 16+25 does not equal 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you so much. i'll try it out :)
